Connestee is located between Brevard and Caesars Head State Park in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains between Atagahi and Ticoa Lakes.

The golf course is a strong mountain layout traversing rolling, tree-lined fairways with an impressive change in elevation in a most scenic setting. To score well, a three-wood or rescue club might be useful due to the narrow landing areas, sloping fairways, numerous doglegs, several water hazards, and sand bunkers defending the greens. It was designed by George Cobb and plays to 6,517 yards, 71.4/131, course/slope rating from the tips with four shorter tees.
