Cottonwood Country Club is in Glendive, in the Eastern Montana badlands, near Makoshika State Park, just off I-94 at exit 215 on the east shore of Crisafulli Lake.

The golf course is a nine-hole parkland layout through cottonwood-lined, hilly fairways. A stream snakes its way through the course, and sand bunkers guard the small oval greens. From the tips, it can play to 3,124 yards, 34.5/111 course/slope ratings, designed by Leo Johnson in the early 1960s.
