Crooked Oak is a few miles north of Colquitt surrounded by farmland and fields an hour southwest of Albany and 30 minutes north of Bainbridge.

The golf course is a combination parkland style of layout with tree lined fairways along with a few open, links-style holes. The layout moves along level terrain with water hazards in play on six holes and sand traps positioned at the landing areas and around the greens. It plays to 6,737 from the tips, 71.8/124, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Arthur Davis.
