Crystal Lake is 30 minutes south of downtown Minneapolis in Lakeville off I-35 at exit 86 to the east surrounded by upscale homes on the exterior holes.

The layout is a parkland style design moving along broad, tree lined fairways through wetlands and natural areas with a slight change in elevation. Overall, there's water in the form of ponds and streams on half the holes with sand bunkering at the landing zones and guarding the greens. There's three sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,306 yards, 70.8/132, course/slope ratings, designed by Williams Gill & Associates.
