Dayton Valley is located 15 miles east of Carson City off US 50 in a scenic setting in the desert with views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range throughout.

The golf course is a wide open links-style layout bounding over mounded fairways within a residential community. There's multiple lakes and ponds in addition to an abundance of sand bunkers both defending the fairways and the generous, contoured greens surrounded by collection areas. The course plays to 7,218 yards, 74.0/131, course/slope ratings from the back tees with three shorter tees, an Arnold Palmer design.
