Deer Lakes Golf Course is on the west side of Salem on US 60, 12 miles west of Marion.

The golf course is a parkland design with a blend of open and narrow, tree lined fairways over a series of elevation changes from tee to green. There's water features in play on half the holes, 34 sand bunkers, and numerous slight and dramatic doglegs. There's three sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,731 yards, 73.3/136, course/slope ratings, designed by Jerry Lemon.
