Dogwood is 10 miles southwest of Marietta in Austell in northwest Atlanta tucked away between Austell Highway and Powder Springs Road.

The golf course is a compact, parkland layout with broad and narrow, old-growth, tree-lined fairways over slightly rolling terrain. There are several streams traversing multiple holes and two ponds with sand bunkers positioned greenside and along the occasional fairway landing zone. There are four sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,501 yards, 71.2/126, course/slope ratings.
