Eisenhower Park is between the Southern State and the Northern State off the Hempstead Turnpike or Old Country Road, 30 miles east of Manhattan, in East Meadow, Nassau County. It has three 18-hole golf courses.
The Red is the most historic layout as it was the venue for the PGA Championship in 1926, won by Walter Hagan, and hosted Champion Tour events. It's a long and challenging layout along fairways lined by old growth, hardwood trees bordered by deep rough with numerous doglegs and sand bunkers defending the landing zones and greens. It can play to 7,107 yards from the tips, 73.2/124, course/slope ratings with two shorter sets of tees, designed in 1914 by Devereux Emmet.
The White course is a parkland layout with scattered trees framing the wide open fairways over level terrain. It has a generous amount and variety of sand traps along the fairways and defending the greens. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., in 1950 and plays to 6,932 yards from the tips, 73.5/127 course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
The Blue course was also designed by Jones and is the most forgiving and playable course at Eisenhower—a scaled-down version of the White Course. It's 6,049 yards from the tips, with 68.1/116 course/slope ratings and two shorter tees.
