El Rio is located 30 minutes south of Laughlin on the east side of US 95 in a scenic setting surrounded by mountains and the nearby Colorado River.

The golf course is an open, ranging layout offering generous landing zones complete with strategically placed bunkers and four water features requiring course management off the tee and on approach to the greens. The course is a par 72 with four sets of tees ranging from 5,342 yards to 7,115 yards, 72.9/123, course/slope ratings from the tips, designed by Matt Dye.
