Ellinwood is a classic design from the 1920s located between Fitchburg and Greenfield in Athol on the south side of Rt 202.

The course is carved through the woods along fairways lined with trees through separate and unique corridors. There's sand bunkers primarily defending the small, perched greens and a few ponds and streams in play. It's a short course at 6,210 yards from the back tees, 69.5/123, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees. The original nine holes were designed by Donald Ross with Geoffrey Cornish adding the second nine and a redesign.
