Falling Creek Country Club is located halfway between New Bern and Goldsboro 2 miles off US Highway 70 on the west side of Kinston.

The layout is a compact parkland design winding along narrow, old-growth, tree-lined fairways over fairly level terrain. It's mostly straightforward save for a few doglegs, several water hazards in play, and sand traps positioned along the fairways and guarding the small greensites. From the white tees, it's 6,177 yards, 69.7/117 course and slope ratings with two shorter and one longer tees available, a Gene Hamm design.
