FarmLinks is an hour southeast of Birmingham in Sylacauga and about two hours from Atlanta, and in a state noted for the "RTJ Golf Trail" this course is a must play. It's a research and demonstration operation for everything golf including grasses, design concepts, mowers, and even the golf carts. There's also cabins for overnight stays along with clay shooting, dove, and general bird hunting, and fishing.

The layout can be long but provides generous fairways over hilly terrain with scenic mountain views and considerable elevation changes including one par-3 that drops 150 feet to a large green. The layout is diverse with unique, isolated fairways, water hazards on half the holes, and features a memorable and dramatic set of par 3s. It's long and challenging at 7,444 yards, 75.5/140, course/slope from the tips with four shorter tees, designed by Hurdzan/Fry.
