Farmville Golf and Country Club is located just off Highway 258/264 a few miles west of Greenville.
The golf course is a short and compact, parkland style layout from the 1930s with fairways defined by old growth, hardwood trees. There's sand bunkers defending the greens, Little Contentnea Creek and numerous ponds in play, and overall a shot maker's layout with a premium on accuracy. The course plays to 6,206 yards from the tips, 69.5/114, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. There's indications of a "Donald Ross" type design, but there's no accurate record of his involvement.
