Farmville Golf and Country Club is located just off Highway 258/264 a few miles west of Greenville.
The golf course is a short and compact, parkland-style layout from the 1930s with fairways defined by old-growth, hardwood trees. There are sand bunkers defending the greens, Little Contentnea Creek, and numerous ponds in play, and overall, a shot maker's layout with a premium on accuracy. The course plays to 6,206 yards from the tips, 69.5/114, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. There are indications of a "Donald Ross" type design, but there's no accurate record of his involvement.
