Fleming Island is withing a real estate development in the southern Jacksonville suburb of Orange Park off US 17 to the west.

The front nine is open with waste areas and wetlands bordering the fairways while the back nine is cut through tall pine trees creating fairway corridors which seem a little confining after playing the front. There's water in the form of lakes, canals, and wetland areas in play throughout with a moderate amount of sand bunkers. It's long enough at 6,801 yards, 72.7/136, course/slope ratings off the tips with four shorter tees, designed by Bobby Weed in 2000.
