The Franklin Country Club is on the southwest side of West Frankfort off I-57.

The layout is a classic parkland design over gently rolling terrain with a couple of ponds in play, less than 25 sand bunkers, and moderate-sized greens. There's five sets of tees from 4,915 yards to 6,600 yards at the tips, the middle tees play to 6,005 yards, 69.1/128, course/slope ratings, designed by Ted Locke.
