Franklin Valley is on the south side of Jackson off RT 83 to the west surrounded by fields and forests.

The course is in a scenic setting well out in the country over rolling hills along tree lined fairways. There's a stream and numerous ponds in addition to sand bunkers mostly greenside with a short and hilly front nine and a long, flat backside. It's a relatively modest layout at only 6,391 yards from the tips, 70.2/117, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
