The Frio Valley Ranch is 1 1/2 hours west of San Antonio and north of Uvalde in the middle of Texas Hill country near the Frio River.

The course saunters over a scenic, valley setting near the River surrounded by the hills and a true shot maker's dream. The holes are all appropriately named, eg., Wow! Easy Does it, It's A Dandy, Ker Plunk-you get the picture! Most of the landing zones off the tee are forgiving, but after the first cut of rough it's a lost ball in the trees or natural areas. The main theme for playing here is course management with 75+ sand bunkers scattered about the fairways and defending the elevated, tiered and sloping green complexes with challenging pin positions. There's five set of tees overall from 5,187 yards to 7,333 yards with the middle tees playing to 6,798 yards, 73.4/136, course/slope ratings, designed by Bechtol/Russell.
