Equinox is located between Rutland and Bennington on US 7 and is a classic resort in the Green Mountains named after the highest peak in the range.

The golf course is a strategic mountain/parkland layout in a stunning setting winding through fairways lined by trees. There's a liberal use and variety of sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens and several streams in play on multiple holes. The course was designed by Walter Travis in 1926 and was redesigned in the early 90s by Rees Jones, and plays to a total length of 6,423 yards, 70.8/129. course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
