Red Rock is on the southwest side of Rapid City off US 16 to the west within a residential development

The layout traverses a parkland setting with stands of trees along the fairways over rolling terrain with each hole isolated and unique. The fairways are frequently mounded and undulating producing a variety of odd lies on approach shots to the well protected greens surrounded by collection areas, pot and conventional sand bunkers. It was designed by Ron Faris in 2003 and plays to 7,114 yards from the back tees, 73.0/142, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
