Goose Pond Colony is owned and operated by the city of Scottsboro and located about an hour and a half from Birmingham just off Highway 79 five miles south of Scottsboro with two 18 hole layouts.

The Lakes is the championship level layout lumbering over slightly rolling hills through mostly wide open, but tree lined fairways with an abundance of water features. There's good sized greens with a little sand bunkering in the fairways and more greenside with views of the Tennessee River's Lake Guntersville from every hole. There's five sets of tees overall with the blue tees playing to 6,854 yards, 71.6/125, course/slope ratings, designed by George Cobb.

The Plantation course is a few miles off the River on its own within a partially developed community and isn't quite as scenic. It's a parkland layout along broad, tree lined fairways over rolling terrain with multiple water hazards in play. It can play as long as 6,901 yards from the tips, 72.5/125, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Don Croft/Phillip Green.
