Grand National is on Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Trail located just outside Auburn near the southwest Georgia line with two 18 layouts, the Lake and the Links, as well as an 18 hole short course.

Both the Links and Lake courses climb over significant elevation changes and along tree lined fairways with large greens, well guarded by deep, fingered bunkers and numerous water hazards including an island green on a 230 yard par 3. The Lake course has twelve holes along the shore of Lake Saugahatchee with yardages from 4,910 yards to 7,149 yards from the tips, the white tees play to 5,948 yards, 68.7/117, course/slope ratings. The Links' fairways and approaches to the greens are more undulating and both well protected by sand bunkers and wetlands with the finishing holes possibly the best on the Trail. The course has four tees from 4,843 yards to 7,311 yards, the white tees are 6,015 yards, 69.6/119, course/slope.
