Great River is off the Wilbur Cross Parkway on the north side of the Housatonic River in Milford.

Great River is a demanding, parkland layout with six holes bordering the River while the balance journey along mature, hardwood tree-lined fairways or into open meadows. Overall, there are wetlands, ponds, and lakes in play on multiple holes in addition to a plethora of conventional, long waste, and pot sand bunkers defending the fairways and greens. It can play to 7,060 yards, 74.6/146, course/slope ratings from the back tees with four shorter tees, a Tom Fazio design.
