Hail Ridge is 20 minutes west of Columbia, just off I-70 at the MO 87 exit to the north on the airport's west side.

The layout travels along wide, open fairways with old growth, hardwood trees at the borders, and four holes wrapping around a large lake. Additionally, ponds and a stream affect play on numerous holes, and sand bunkers primarily surround the ample greens. It plays to 6,516 yards from the back tees, 69.7/115, course/slope ratings, and 5,982 yards from the white tees, 67.3/110.
