Hawks Creek is on the grounds of the former Carswell AFB in west Ft. Worth built in conjunction with a residential development.

The golf course is over a rolling tract of land through stands of mature trees with several ponds and Farmers Branch traversing the layout from east to west producing water hazards on over half the holes. There's four sets of tees overall from 5,448 yards to 6,898 yards, the white tees are 6,040 yards, 71.8/133, course/slope ratings, designed by John Colligan.
