Hemlock is just north of Ludington between Muskegon and Traverse City on Decker Road.

The course is a parkland layout etched through the deep woods and dunes. Waste bunkers run the length of several holes, and conventional sand traps defend the fairways and greens. Overall, it provides an assortment of split fairways, elevation changes, wetlands, forced carries, and doglegs. It was designed by Raymond Hearn and is 7,044 yards from the tips, 73.4/139, course/slope ratings, with four shorter tees.
