Heron Creek is in La Grange between Angola and Elkhart in northern Indiana off the Indiana Toll Road at exit 121 then south about 20 minutes.

The course layout traverses fairways defined by stands of trees with multiple ponds in play and numerous slight doglegs but only 14 sand bunkers sprinkled about. From the back tees the course is on the short side at 6,353 yards, 70.2/122, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Tim Dykstra.
