Heron Creek is a 27 layout in an upscale residential community just south of Sarasota off I-75 at Sumter to the south.

The layouts feature a modest topography change which is unusual in this area of Florida. The fairways are mounded as the course journeys through stands of oak, pine, and palmettos providing the feel of a protected wetlands/wildlife area with water hazards on the majority of the holes. There's six sets of tees with the yardages and course/slope ratings for the various rotations from the tips: Oaks-3,346 yards; Marsh-3,373 yards; Creek-3,351 yards.
