Hi-Level is 15 minutes northwest of Clarion and 15 minutes north of I-80 at exit 53 in the small village of Kossuth, a former oil boom town in the early 1950s.

The golf course is an enjoyable layout in a natural setting on the north side of town well out in the country surrounded by foothills. It's very playable and straightforward and not much in the way of trouble with evergreen trees lining the fairways, one pond, and minimal sand bunkering. It's a short course at 5,692 yards from the tips and a par of 72, but with a variety of holes from the 120 yard par 3 to the 670 yards par 6. The course has been around since the 1950s, and was designed and still owned by the Hess family.
