High Hampton is a mountain style golf course affiliated with the Inn, a classic Western North Carolina style rustic lodge and cabins in a spectacular setting. It's located about 1 1/2 hours southwest of Asheville and 1 1/2 hours northwest of Greenville high up in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The layout is confining off the tee as it climbs along hilly, hemlock, mountain laurel, and pine tree lined fairways and narrows on the approaches to the modest greens well protected by sand bunkers. Each hole is separate and unique as they're carved through the forests in the shadow of Rock Mountain. The golf course was designed by George Cobb with a redesign by Tom Fazio and is short at just 6,012 yards off the tips, 67.0/114, course/slope ratings, but challenging nonetheless.
