Highland is on the east side of Pocatello off I-15 at Pocatello Creek Road to the east.

The golf course is surrounded by homes on the exterior holes with all of the interior fairways bordered by old growth, hardwood trees. It's generally straightforward with a faint variety of holes over slightly rolling terrain and a sprinkling of sand bunkers bordering many of the modest, oval or kidney shaped greens. It was designed by George Von Elm in 1962 and plays to 6,512 yards from the back tees, 69.8/117, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
