Hobbs Hole is an hour northeast of Richmond in the Northern Neck in Tappahannock just behind the shopping centers on US 17 in a small residential development bordered by forests and fields.

The course layout is varied with trees lining some of the fairways while others are wide open and links-style. There's streams, ponds, and lakes in play with a generous amount of sand bunkers guarding the fairways and greens. The course designed by Jeff Timmons and from the tips plays to 6,607 yards, 69.7/116, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
