Hotchkiss is on the south side of Wonoskopomuc Lake in Lakeville in the far northwest corner of Connecticut in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains.

The course is a classic by Seth Raynor from the 1920s and preserved much as the original design. It winds through the college campus buildings at the top of the hill with old-growth hardwood trees at the borders leading to modest, well-protected green complexes. It's only a 9-holer and short at 3,080 yards from the tips, 36.2/130, course/slope ratings.
