The Houlton Community Golf Course, or Lakeside, is southwest of Houlton off Bangor Street on the north side of Nickerson Lake.

The golf course is a traditional, nine-hole layout from the 1920s over slightly rolling terrain. The course is in a scenic and quiet setting, wandering along generally broad, tree-lined fairways leading to small, well-protected, elevated greens. There's two sets of tees with the tips playing to only 2,800 yards, 34.4/117, course/slope ratings.
