Hunter Station is located 3 miles south of Tionesta on route 62 five miles east of Oil City on the north side of the Allegheny River.

The course is an entertaining, mountain style, parkland layout with the front side having an impressive amount of elevation change while the balance on the back are along level, river bottom land. It was designed by Jack Sherman and is only 5,174 yards, par 69, 65.0/110, course/slope ratings from the back tees with two shorter tees.
