Idle Creek is on the southeast side of Terre Haute off Ferree Road.

The golf course is an interesting and varied layout along open and narrow, tree lined fairways with a generous amount of water hazards and sand bunkers in play at the landing zones and protecting the greens complexes. There's several forced carries and the occasional risk/reward opportunity as it winds through an upscale, residential community. It's somewhat short at 6,235 yards from the tips, par 71, 70.2/128, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Rick Jenkins and Jack Keidel.
