Island's End is located at the far northern tip of Long Island in Long Island's wine country on the North Fork with views across the Sound to Connecticut.

The layout is entertaining and playable except when the wind's blowing, which always seems to be the case. It's a parkland layout cruising along level, tree lined fairways with a generous use of sand bunkers both in the landing zones and defending the greens of various shapes and sizes. It's a Herb Strong design from the mid 1960s with four sets of tees and is 6,665 yards from the back tees, 71.3/121, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
