Jato Highlands is located just northeast of of Lincoln on US 2 east of the Penobscot River.

While short, the golf course is a shot maker's layout where course management prevails over distance by navigating numerous severe doglegs over rolling topography along fairways dotted with stands of old growth hardwoods. It's in a scenic setting providing views of Mt. Katahdin throughout the round with only three water hazards in play, but a gaggle of sand bunkers defending the landing zones and greens. It can play to 5,715 yards, 68.0/118, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Tom Gardner.
