Jato Highlands is located just northeast of Lincoln on US 2, east of the Penobscot River.

While short, the golf course is a shot maker's layout where course management prevails over distance by navigating numerous severe doglegs over rolling topography along fairways dotted with stands of old-growth hardwoods. It's in a scenic setting, providing views of Mt. Katahdin throughout the round, with only three water hazards in play but a gaggle of sand bunkers defending the landing zones and greens. It can play to 5,715 yards, 68.0/118, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Tom Gardner.
