Jefferson Hills is about 20 minutes north of Idaho Falls in Rigby, off the Yellowstone Highway south of the Snake River.

The golf course journeys over a scenic setting over level terrain without homes or development along the holes. It's a parkland-style design along tree-lined fairways with minimal sand bunkering, but three streams cutting through the lower, middle, and upper reaches of the layout affect play on over half the holes. It's a short course at only 6,256 yards from the tips for a par of 71, 68.2/112, course/slope ratings, with two shorter tees.
