John Pitman is a municipal golf course located 45 miles southwest of Amarillo in the downtown area of Hereford.

The course meanders over generally level topography along fairways defined by scattered oak trees with the pesky Tierra Blanca creek in play on 10 holes. It can play to 6,497 yards, 70.8/122, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tees.
