Jug Mountain is 9 miles southeast of McCall off ID 55 to the east in the shadow of Jughandle Mountain.

The layout is in a scenic, natural setting over rolling terrain and along fairways defined by a meadows or a scattering of trees. Boulder Creek bisects the layout from north to south, Cold Creek is on the western border, and several ponds are in play on half the holes in addition to a modest amount of sand traps. It plays to 7,265 yards from the tips, 74.3/136, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Donald Knott a former associate of Robert Trent Jones II.
