The Kingwood Resort is 30 minutes north of Toccoa in the North Georgia Mountains within a residential, resort real estate development.

The layout is a parkland design carved through the woods with each hole separate and unique, and generally straightforward save for a few doglegs. There's a modest amount of sand traps along with several water hazards including Chechero Creek impacting play on a number of holes. It can play to 6,012 yards from the tips, 68.8/124, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Scott Pool in 2000.
