The Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course is affiliated with the casino on the north side of Watersmeet.

The entire layout is chiseled through the woods on a large tract of land dotted by wetlands in the Ottawa National Forest along isolated and unique corridors. The fairways are broad at the landing zones but the rough at the borders is generally heavy in the summers. There's five ponds/wetlands and an occasional stream affecting play, a few severe doglegs, and multiple blind shots adding to the character of the layout. The initial nine was designed by Mattingly Kuhn, the second by Bob Lohmann, and it's 6,644 yards from the tips, 71.4/133, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
