The Lafayette Municipal Golf Course lumbers along a parkland setting on the east bank of the Chattooga River on the south side of Lafayette.

The layout is over rolling terrain along mature, tree lined fairways with the original front side a target layout through narrow fairways with several water hazards and small greens. The back side opens up a shade although there's water and OB impacting play along the mounded fairways leading to more generous green complexes. The course was redesigned and a new nine added by Arthur Davis with the tips playing to 6,436 yards, 70.2/113, course/slope ratings and two shorter tees.
