Lake James Golf Club is located in the northeast corner of Indiana in the lakes area off I-69 between exits 354 and 350 to the west.

The layout begins with an open and forgiving front side along level terrain leading to modest greens while the backside moves up and over the hills with larger, undulating greens. There's a modest amount of sand, several wetlands, ponds, and streams as the primary hazards. It's a true shot maker's from the 6,638 yard tips, 72.8/135, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Robert Beard in the 1970s.
