Lake Jovita was developed in conjunction with a residential development off I-75 at FL 52 to the east near Dade City, which has two 18-hole golf courses.

The North Course traverses rolling terrain along native, tree-lined fairways bordered by ponds and wetlands on 13 holes and an abundance of sand with 80+ bunkers in play. It's 7,226 yards, 74.8/139, course/slope ratings from the back tees with five shorter tees, designed by Kurt Sandness.

The South Course is an interesting layout along numerous slight and dramatic doglegs over rolling, tree-lined fairways with water hazards in play on over half the holes. It is well protected by sand bunkers. It plays to 7,153 yards from the tips, 74.2/135, course/slope ratings with five shorter tees, designed by Tom Lehman and Kurt Sandness.
