Lakeside is about 20 minutes north of Marietta in the small town of Beverly.

The golf course is a scenic, rural layout cruising along flat river bottom land and over hills on the north side of the Muskingum River. The layout is a traditional design with multiple ponds, streams, sand traps, and trees scattered about, but primarily open off the tee. The Men's tees are at 5,805 yards, 68.4/107, course/slope ratings which provides a mix of long and short par 3s and 4s, with two three shot par 5s on the back, designed by Jack Hart.
