Lakewood Shores is less than 1/4 mile from Lake Huron in Oscoda, due east of Roscommon. It has three 18-hole courses: The Gailes, Blackshire, and Serradella.

The Gailes is a links-style layout designed by Kevin Aldridge. It features all the elements you'd find in Scotland or Ireland, including massive double greens, burns, sod-faced bunkers, tall fescue grass lining the fairways, pot bunkers, and gorse. The layout plays to 6,954 yards from the back tees, 74.0/138, course/slope ratings, and three shorter tees.

Blackshire is reminiscent of Pine Valley with sandy waste areas bordering the fairways and massive, undulating greens. It is 6,898 yards from the tips, 72.7/134, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Aldridge as well.

The Serradella is a traditional design along broad, tree-lined fairways and is well-landscaped with generous green complexes. It plays to 6,806 yards from the back tees, 73.0/126, course/slope, with two shorter tees, designed by Bruce Matthews.
