Land o' Lakes is 40 minutes south of Lumberton on the north side of Whiteville on the way to Myrtle Beach.

The course is a parkland layout journeying over rolling hills and along pine tree lined fairways well out in the country surrounded by farmland and forests. It's challenging with numerous water hazards and sand traps along the fairways and greens, but provides several scoring opportunities with drivable par 4s and reachable par 5s in two. It's not a long course at only 6,206 yards 68.9/125, course/slope ratings off the tips with two shorter tees, designed by Hanson White in the mid-1970s.
