Landsmeer is located in the northwest corner of Iowa 45 minutes north of Sioux City on the north side of Orange City.

The golf course is partially bordering a residential development with homes along a few holes. The fairways are broad and forgiving with scattered trees and tall fescue grasses lining the borders. There's a stream and several ponds including a partial island green and sand bunkers defending the generous greens and the occasional fairway. It plays to 6,411 yards from the back tees for a par 71, 70.6/120, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Donald Sechrest in 1995.
