Lane Creek is southwest of Athens halfway between Athens and Monroe in Bishop.

The layout is carved through the woods within an upscale, residential community with mature hardwood trees at the fairway's borders. It's a challenging layout over rolling terrain with a pond and Lane Creek cutting through or bordering a number of holes and sand bunkers along the fairway's landing zones and defending the greens. There's four sets of tees overall, the white tees are 6,005 yards, 68.5/122, course/slope ratings, designed by Mike Young in 1992.
